The RoboRocker is a programmable rocker designed for pumpless perfusion of media in 3D cell and organoid culture systems. The platform tilts to the programmed angle, pauses for the desired time, from seconds to hours, and then moves to the reverse tilt angle or another desired tilt angle. The RoboRocker is ideal for maintaining a constant flow rate of media/fluids for microfluidic platforms. It is versatile for other applications as well. It is the best rocker available for mimicking in vivo conditions.
Programmable
The RoboRocker can be easily programmed for tilt angle, travel rate, and pause times. In some models, up to 4 tilt angles can be set in a single cycle. Travel from one angle to the next is gentle. Pauses at each tilt angle can be individually bypassed or set from 1 second up to many hours.
Mimic in vivo conditions
Use the RoboRocker to control the flow of the media to mimic in vivo conditions including pulsatile flow (to mimic heart beats and peristalsis) and high shear to promote unidirectional growth of epithelial or endothelial cells.
Incubator Safe
The RoboRocker is designed to withstand the warm, humid and acidic environments of CO2 cell culture incubators.
Long Life
The rocker has a motor that will not wear out, even after many years of use.
User Friendly
The RoboRocker stores up to 6 programs. It is easy to program, using the large, color, touch screen. It also has a built in test program. Each program has up to 4 settable tilt angles and individually settable pause times and travel rates from one angle to the next.
Expansive Flow Controlability
Speeds can be programmed from blazingly fast to incredibly slow rates measured in degrees per hour. Angles can be precisely programmed up to 30 degrees. Pauses at each programmed angle can be bypassed or set from just one second to hours. No other rocker has this much capability.
Platforms and Well plate racks
A single platform can accommodate 6 well plates. An optional stacking platform doubles the capacity. The removable docking bar assists in positioning culture plates and can be easily positioned in either orientation, for the plates to rock along their width or length. Plates can be stacked at each dock, although this may limit aeration. The docking bar can be removed to accomodate non-well plate size items as well.
Multiple level well plate racks are also available for holding up to 12 culture plates. Each plate slides into its spot allowing plenty of aeration for optimal growth of cells. This also allows easy accessibility of plates from the incubator. The plates are held in place to prevent movement during rocking.
Easy Operation
The RoboRocker can store upto 6 programs, depending on the model. To run an existing program, simply select the program to run and press start. To create a new program, just select the stored program template to edit. Key in the travel speed, tilt angle and pause duration and save.
