The BMPTECAN384 (ordered as a BMPTECAN384-10, BMPTECAN384-11, or BMPTECAN384-12), is a Basic Mounting Plate for Pin Tools used on a Tecan Freedom EVO robotic instrument with the MCA384 Head. Each of the three BMPTECAN384s has a magnetic ID on the top surface that identifies for the EVO the specific BMP in use and by association the specific Pin Tool that is attached.
The BMPTECAN384 is attached to the Pin Tool via the black BMPMID bridge plate, which is included with the BMPTECAN384.
The BMPTECAN384 attached to the Pin Tool is used with the VP 550E Docking Station. The VP 550E is first positioned on the EVO deck and the BMPTECAN384 plus Pin Tool is set on top. In this configuration, the MCA384 Head can pick up and drop off the Pin Tool on the fly via the attached BMPTECAN384.
The BMPTECAN384 series is also available with the rotational adjustable feature for use with 1536 and 384 Pin Tools as BMPTECAN384R-10, BMPTECAN384R-11, and BMPTECAN384R-12. Each BMPTECAN384R includes the BMPMIDR Bridge Plate with rotational adjustment.
