Parylene coated VP 717 Tumble Stir Dowels – 0.52mm diameter, 1.26mm length, 200 C maximum operating temperature, 1000/pkg
Parylene Encapsulated SmCo & NdFeB Magnetic Cylinders
The VP 782N series Parylene encapsulated Neodymium Iron Boron discs were designed to be used in the pockets of the VP 772F PTFE shapes to provide the magnetic core. The PTFE of the VP 772F protects the softer Parylene coated discs. The Number after the VP 782N indicates the diameter of the disc in mm.
The VP 782N series magnetic discs also come in two different heat resistant versions, one that is heat resistant to 150C and can be autoclaved to sterilize. It is designated by a “150” after the part number (VP 782N-XX-150) and one that is heat resistant to only 80C and cannot be autoclaved with losing significant magnetic strength. The later are distinguished by not having a number after the basic part number (VP 782N-XX) (the “blank” version). The XX in both cases is the diameter of the disc in mm. Another distinction between the two series is the strength of the magnetic material. The “150” series are made with 42 MGO material and the blank series are made with the stronger 48 MGO material. So if you need the strongest magnets available select the blank series and if you need to sterilize the stirrers select the “150” series magnets.
These stir discs can be used without a protective PTFE shell in some one time stirring applications that require an economical disposable stirrer.
